Communication Styles - Tips
The team at Onside Soccer have been coaching for many years across all age brackets and ability levels. Below we have included their top tips for communication success!

Keep your instructions brief. Players quickly lose focus so explain simply what you want and do it fast!

Keep things simple. Use simple language, be clear in your instructions and don't over-complicate things.

Position yourself so players can see you clearly (i.e. sun in your eyes, not theirs!) and hear you (i.e. speak up!!)

Keep control of your session. You're in charge so act accordingly. Be firm but fair and keep control of your players.

Things can go wrong so make sure you have a Plan B and have enough awareness to know when to move the session on when things aren't working.
