Soccer Italian Style - Background

Soccer Italian Style was founded in 2005 by two professional Italian coaches, Mirko Mazzantini and Simone Bombardieri, who have a passion to share their experience and expertise with other coaches around the world.

Mirko Mazzantini coached at Empoli FC for 10 years, working with all of the main age groups at youth academy level.  In 2010 he was recruited by ACF Fiorentina to work with their U14/U15 academy teams.  During the 2010//11 season Mirko's team won the U15 Italian Serie 'A' championship and the following season his U14 side won the Serie 'A' title as well as a number of other international club tournaments.  He currently manages the U14 team.  He is a UEFA 'A' Licence coach and is the author of a number of successful coaching books. Mirko is also the Technical Coordinator of the ACF Fiorentina Academy from U14 to U9.

Simone Bombardieri played for Empoli FC for 5 years before starting his coaching career with the youth academy.  He has looked after most of the age groups in the academy, from the U9 through to the U14 and was coach of the the U14 team which reached the final of the Nick Cup International Tournament in 2012.  Simone is currently coach of the Empoli FC U14 team.  He is a UEFA 'B' Licence coach and alongside Mirko has written a number of successful coaching manuals.  Simone is also the Technical Coordinator of the Empoli FC Academy from U14 to U6.

In 2011 Mirko and Simone had the honour to present a lesson at the Coverciano Coaches Training Centre organised by the Italian Football Federation.  Their work with Soccer Italian Style has allowed them to set up franchises in Italy and also overseas, with projects now located in Dubai, Ireland, New Zealand, Canada, the USA, India and Australia.
